Representatives from The Brandon Agency announced today that the firm has been named the agency of record for the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce. The Brandon Agency will manage and execute marketing efforts for the Beaufort Chamber in such areas as branding, creative development, media planning and buying, interactive, public relations and social media.
The Brandon Agency will also assist in aligning more closely Beaufort’s travel and tourism with its economic development, with specific emphasis on its thriving historic waterfront downtown, and the natural beauty of the Sea Islands and tidal waterways.
Before the British successfully founded Beaufort in 1711, the region had been subject to numerous European explorations and several attempts at colonization. Today, Beaufort generates approximately two million visitors annually, and is regarded as one of the most diverse of any community of its size due to its historic character, prominent architecture, waterfront downtown and coastal beauty.
In addition to its rich history and culture, the city also hosts several well-attended, annual festivals, including the Beaufort International Film Festival, the Soft Shell Crab Festival, the Original Gullah Festival, Water Festival, Shrimp Festival, Heritage Days at Penn Center, and its spring and fall Tour of Homes.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Beaufort Chamber as a client,” said Scott Brandon, president and CEO of The Brandon Agency. “We are doing some exciting and innovative things in the travel industry, and we look forward to using our energy and ideas to grow tourism and the overall economy in Beaufort.”
