The Angel Award

The Brandon Agency, the most creatively awarded agency in the Carolinas over the last decade, was honored with three ADDY Awards in The Angel Awards competition for logo design, public service print advertising, and copywriting for the campaign created for Palm Coast and Flagler Beaches.

The 2018 Angel Award Competition features a unique entry format with multiple categories, including: organization or cause promotion, public health and safety education, and fundraising events and initiatives. A panel of expert judges representing all advertising disciplines makes the award decisions, awarding recognition based on each campaign’s own merits.

The Brandon Agency’s winning print ad earned three separate ADDY awards for logo design, public service print advertising, and copywriting. The announcement was part of a campaign for Flagler Beaches and the Palm Coast, which consists of nearly 21 miles of beach between St. Augustine, Florida to Daytona Beach, Florida. In the fall of 2016, Hurricane Matthew ravaged the beautiful Palm Coast leading to extensive ongoing beach re-nourishment and refurbishment. The Brandon Agency created a campaign to educate visitors and locals alike about the importance of the current beach re-nourishment and sand dune preservation efforts still underway.

“We are extremely proud of our team and the work we produce for our clients, and it’s an absolute honor to be recognized by the American Advertising Federation alongside with other fantastic agencies,” said Scott Brandon, CEO of The Brandon Agency. “Our team has worked exceptionally hard on this campaign and we are thrilled to be a part of such an impactful message and movement.”

Conducted by the American Advertising Federation Fourth District, the Angel Award Competition honors the very best in public service advertising. It combines two missions of the organization: to utilize industry expertise to address community issues and to celebrate and honor advertising excellence. The American Advertising Federation was formed in 1924 during the first real estate and tourism boom to monitor the accuracy of claims made by advertisers.

The Brandon Agency also took home the “Best Print Ad’ award for this campaign at the Charleston American Marketing Association (AMA) 2018 Spark! Awards.
