Tourists searching for a historic destination with local dining, unique shopping and symbolic landmark sites need look no further than South Carolina’s York County.

Rock Hill/York County CVB has selected The Brandon Agency, the largest and
most awarded privately held integrated marketing communications firm in the Carolinas, to promote this celebrated city and the area’s offerings. This includes showcasing all of the distinctive features found in York County and the surrounding area, as well as developing an integrated communications plan to promote the region as a desired, Southern destination.

The Brandon Agency will work with York County on a far-reaching, integrated marketing communications effort to help drive visitation to the area. This effort includes the development of a strategic plan designed to increase awareness for the area’s tourism. The integrated agency team and York County will implement account management, social media, media buying/planning, and search engine optimization tactics to reach York County’s desired target audience.

“We always look forward to projects that allow us to use our unique skills to the table while highlighting what makes South Carolina so great, such as York County,” said Scott Brandon, president and CEO of The Brandon Agency. “We are innovating aspects of the travel industry, and we look forward to using our energy and ideas to grow tourism and the overall economy in York County and the surrounding municipalities.”

Founded in 1785, York County is located in the north central area of South Carolina about 20 miles south of Charlotte, N.C., and features local vendors and a budding tourist attraction. For more information about York County, visit http://www.visityorkcounty.com.

“The travel industry is a crowded marketplace, with intense competition for potential visitors,” said Lisa Meadows, executive director of the CVB. “We’re very excited to be working with The Brandon Agency to leverage their expertise in travel and destination marketing communications for initiatives that will allow us to better tell the Rock Hill/York County story and make more people aware of all we have to offer.”

The Brandon Agency has been the driving force behind many well-known brands, including Southern Tide, CresCom Bank, Santee Cooper, HTC, Williams Knife Co., Brittain Resort Management and Beaufort, SC, developing and delivering tangible results that positively impact business.
