Brandon, a fully integrated modern marketing agency that leverages data-driven insights and deep audience understanding to unlock brands’ hidden potential, has been chosen as one of South Carolina’s Best Places to Work for 2024 by SC Biz News. This marks the seventh straight year the company has claimed the distinction.
Fewer than 50 companies throughout the entire state made the honorees list in the Medium Employer category, which includes Brandon and other South Carolina companies with 50 to 249 employees. With all size categories included, just over 100 companies statewide earned the Best Places to Work honor.
“We’re honored to receive this prestigious recognition for the seventh consecutive year. At Brandon, we prioritize our team members’ well-being and growth, believing that a supportive workplace isn’t just beneficial—it’s essential. This recognition reflects our commitment to fostering a culture in which every individual feels valued and empowered. By investing in our people, we not only cultivate creativity and collaboration but also ensure our clients receive the very best from a motivated and inspired team.” – Scott Brandon, CEO of Brandon.
Using feedback collected directly from candidate companies’ employees, SC Biz News (with the help of the third-party Best Companies Group) employs several criteria to select honorees for its Best Places to Work list. Among them, an employee survey (making up 75% of each company’s overall score) and an employer questionnaire (making up 25% of the score) are the leading factors used.
To claim the honor, companies must achieve at least an 80% positive response rate on the survey questions its employees answer, along with alignment across eight focus areas in the employee survey: Leadership and Planning; Corporate Culture and Communications; Role Satisfaction; Work Environment; Relationship With Supervisor; Training, Development and Resources; Pay and Benefits; and Overall Engagement.
The top winners in the Best Places to Work competition will be announced on August 22 at a ceremony in Columbia, S.C., as well as online and in a special section of all three SC Biz News journals.
