THE BRANDON AGENCY’S CHARLESTON OFFICE GIVES BACK BY SUPPORTING OPERATION HOME PROJECT

The Brandon Agency, an integrated marketing agency based in Myrtle Beach, S.C., closed the doors to its Charleston office on Friday, March 20, for its employees to volunteer alongside Operation Home, a non-profit that helps people remain in their homes by increasing safety and accessibility.

The agency’s staff spent the day in Hollywood, S.C., with Operation Home building a wheelchair ramp to enable an area resident to get in and out of their home safely. After a full day’s work, the team had built a 29-foot wheelchair ramp to provide a secure and accessible means of entry for the homeowner.

“As a business organization, The Brandon Agency believes that we have a responsibility to serve others and give back in our surrounding communities,” said Shelby Greene, VP, media director at The Brandon Agency and Operation Home board member. “It’s wonderful to be a part of an agency that sees the importance of serving those in need and encourages us to take the time to do just that as a team. We believe Operation Home serves a valuable purpose and we are thrilled to jump on board with them.”

Operation Home, a non-profit based in North Charleston, S.C., thrives on the mission to help people remain in their homes by increasing safety and accessibility through the coordination of critical home repairs for low-income residents of Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties. The organization receives referrals from a wide network of providers and serves members of the community through critical home repair, as well as heat and cold relief.

“Operation Home’s mission is to focus on low-wealth homeowners who struggle to keep up their home, including households that contain children, those with disabilities and older adults,” said Sandy Milliken, executive director of Operation Home. ”We are so grateful to The Brandon Agency team for giving its time and skills to partner alongside us as we contribute to the positive and vital change we long to bring to residents in our community.”
