The Brandon Agency Partners with American Red Cross and Dunkin' Donuts to Host Community Blood Drive

The Brandon Agency welcomes colleagues, friends and area business leaders to donate blood on Thursday, September 7 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The American Red Cross will park its state-of-the-art blood mobile in the front parking lot of the agency’s office located at 3023 Church St. Adding to the spirit of giving, complimentary donuts and coffee will be available for volunteers and donors, courtesy of Dunkin’ Donuts – America’s number one brand for coffee, donuts and bagels. Dunkin’ Donuts will also give a pound of coffee to thank each donor for their contribution, as part of its ‘Pound for a Pint’ program.

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. A single, lifesaving donation can potentially help up to three patients. This blood drive is a part of the agency’s mission to host multiple charitable endeavors each quarter.

“The Brandon Agency is committed to strengthening our community and helping meet hospital and patient needs through blood donations,” said Scott Brandon, CEO. “This blood drive is our way of giving staff, colleagues and neighbors an opportunity to help save lives.”

Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood donors. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood products must be constantly replenished, according to the Red Cross.

“We urge community members to donate blood and help ensure that patients in local hospitals have a supply of blood ready and waiting before an emergency occurs,” Brandon continued. “There’s no better feeling than knowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at life.”
