This month, The Brandon Agency’s public relations team facilitated a press conference at the Charlotte Motor Speedway for Glory Foods, and NASCSAR drivers David Ragan and David Gilliland to present $50,000 to the nation’s leading domestic-hunger relief charity Feeding America.

The donation is part of Glory Foods’ “Race to Feeding America” campaign that launched on July 30 with the goal of providing more than 500,000 meals to hungry Americans.

In addition to the $50,000 monetary donation, Feeding America was also presented with more than 54,600 pounds of canned goods.

During the weekend’s Bank of America 500, drivers Ragan and Gilliland, both of Front Row Motorsports, raced for a $1 million donation from Glory Foods for Feeding America. Ragan finished the race in 34th position; Gilliland finished in 23rd.

The Bank of America 500 was the “Race To Feeding America” finale race, rounding out a total of four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events in which Glory Foods sponsored drivers Ragan or Gilliland in 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events in Daytona, Fla. (Coke Zero 400 on July7), Bristol, Tenn. (IRWIN Tools Night Race on Aug. 25) and Atlanta (AdvoCare on Sept. 2).
