What you’ll do as Media Buyer:

  • Optimize towards performance: Whether hands on keyboard or working with a vendor you will ensure our media is optimized towards performance
  • Strategize with Partners: Align closely with media planners to grasp each client’s goals, audience, and overarching media strategy.
  • Negotiate with Savvy: Execute media buys with a focus on efficiency, securing the most advantageous rates and value within budgetary bounds.
  • Refine Media Plans: Keep our media plans sharp and up-to-date, incorporating the latest rates and specifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze for Excellence: Delve into performance data, leveraging reports to identify strategic adjustments that propel campaign effectiveness and meet KPIs.
  • Manage Insertion Orders: Handle the lifecycle of insertion orders meticulously, from crafting to distributing, ensuring precision and promptness.
  • Smooth Vendor Relations: Maintain smooth operations with media vendors, quickly resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise.
  • Organize with Care: Oversee our media document repository, making sure the team has easy access to current and accurate information.
  • Lead RFP Communications: Send out RFPs to a diverse array of media outlets, addressing queries and ensuring clear communication.
  • Monitor Performance Metrics: Keep an eye on crucial metrics like ROI and ROAS, adjusting strategies to optimize campaign outcomes.
  • Facilitate Invoice Processing: Work in tandem with accounting to manage invoices and address any financial questions, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Ensure Timely Invoicing: Proactively engage with media representatives to secure all invoices, aiding in precise budget management.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Build relationships with media sales reps and stay informed about their latest offerings and pricing.
  • Support Media Trafficking: Assist in media trafficking as needed, and mentor media coordinators, contributing to their professional growth.
  • Enhance PR Opportunities: Identify potential editorial opportunities that can bolster our Public Relations efforts and overall media team performance.

Media Buyer Paid Social Focus

  • Responsible for executing and managing paid social media campaigns across various platforms, including Meta, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitch, and more. The primary focus will be on driving conversions and increasing website traffic through strategic and effective tactics. Experience with Shopify is highly desirable.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of agency media buying experience
  • Proven track record in media buying and planning.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, particularly media math, and a proven ability to manage and reconcile client media budgets effectively.
  • Programmatic buying experience with The Trade Desk
  • Knowledge of retail media networks is a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and familiarity with media buying platforms such as STRATA/Eleven.
  • Adept at building and maintaining professional relationships with media vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of market trends, media outlets, and advertising strategies.
  • Knowledge of media planning and buying tools.
  • Experience in negotiating pricing and terms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and a process-driven approach to work.
