We have an exciting opportunity for a Media Buyer to join our quickly expanding team! The Media Buyer is responsible for working with the Media Director, Media Planners and Ad Operations Specialist to execute paid media buys. This includes but is not limited to: having a working understanding of how media plans are put together, understanding client goals, negotiating and placing traditional and digital media buys, having insights into how the media is performing, making optimizations and recommendations, facilitating reporting and working with accounting on billing and reconciling invoices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in paid media and paid social. They should be efficient, organized, financially-minded, process-driven, a multi-tasker, work well under pressure, team player, excellent communicator, process-driven, independent problem solver. They should also be proficient in Excel and media math.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • Meet with the media planners to understand the objectives, goals, target audiences and plans for assigned clients
  • Execute media placements, which includes negotiating the most efficient costs and added value
  • Review plans for accuracy and work with the media planner to keep the plans up-to-date with current information and rates
  • Review weekly and monthly reporting and recommend optimizations to the team that will improve the performance of the defined KPIs
  • Save all current media documents on the server with proper naming conventions to ensure the most recent file is available for team. Maintains integrity of client media folders on server
  • Conduct traditional/digital RFPs and send to appropriate media reps. Answer all questions from reps regarding RFPs and thoughtfully choose vendors for campaigns
  • Track client goals/budgets, and ensures target audiences are reached as efficiently as possible
  • Measure and optimize ROI, ROAS, leads and any additional KPIs important to the client
  • Process invoices with the assistance of accounting and work with media vendors, account managers and accounting to resolve any questions and/or issues
  • Review buy accuracy and negotiates/places necessary makegoods and approve them through STRATA/Eleven
  • Ensure that all campaigns and orders meet budgets monthly and are in good standing with accounting department
  • Reach out to media reps to get missing media invoices for your clients in a timely manner (if not automatically sent) so accounting can keep current records of client budgets

Qualifications for this role:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiencies Microsoft Office Business Suite, Google Suite and Google Analytics
  • Preferred proficiencies in STRATA, paid social ad platforms (Meta, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat)
  • Excellent time and calendar management skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and pressured environments while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient
  • Ability to prioritize projects as they are assigned
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent math skills
