What We Expect From Our Interns

We see our interns as an extension of our team. We expect you to come to work ready to jump in and assist your department by not only following instructions but also asking questions, thinking outside of the box, and offering your input.

Everyone on the team contributes to the agency’s success, including our interns. We don’t want you on the sidelines; we want you in the game.

Location: Positions are available remotely or interns can work in one of our offices: Charlotte, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC, or Charleston, SC.

What You Can Expect From Brandon

Interns at Brandon are an integral part of each department and are encouraged to share ideas and collaborate with the team. You can expect to learn from the department you are working with directly as well as other departments within the agency through training and lunch and learns.

Our Hiring Process and Application Timeline

Applications are now being accepted for internships for Summer 2025. The application deadline is January 31, 2025. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and first round interviews will be pre-recorded video interviews using the Willow app. The second round of interviews will be a Zoom video call with at least two members of the internship committee. The third round of interviews will be a Zoom video call with a member of the management team, a member from the department and a member from the internship committee. Each applicant moving forward to the second round of interviews will be asked to come prepared to talk about a department related mini-project. All internship offers will be made by March 1, 2025.

Internships Available:

Video Production Intern

As a video production intern, you’ll join our video team to help create engaging content for clients. You’ll assist with planning, filming, editing, setup and breakdown for shoots, research, and scriptwriting. You’ll also handle logistics for future projects, attend meetings, and take detailed notes to gain industry insights. We’ll ensure you have the support needed to succeed and enjoy the experience.


Account Management Intern

In this department, with the client services team, you will help with day-to-day activities for clients including, planning, budgeting, creative and production. You will also be responsible for helping with client research and managing work in our project management system.


Project Management Intern

In this department, you will be involved in assisting and maintaining project documentation and conducting project research. You will work closely with client services team members to support and execute client work and make sure projects are on time and within budget.


Creative Intern

You will collaborate closely with the design team to create and design graphics for marketing/agency purposes, such as flyers, signage and email/social media campaigns. You’ll also support the brainstorming of new creative content ideas for clients.  


Media Intern

The Media Intern will support the media team with tasks across all accounts, including reporting, insertion orders, presentation materials, media plans, research, and proposals. Responsibilities include assisting with weekly and monthly reporting in Google Data Studio, ensuring data accuracy, adding creative screenshots, and identifying insights. The intern will also learn to create estimates in media buying software, assist with accurate insertion orders, and manage client specs and deadlines in Google Sheets, along with day-to-day administrative support for the team.


Paid Search Intern

Eight Oh Two Marketing is seeking a detail-oriented paid search intern to learn the ins and outs of paid search campaigns and digital marketing. In this role, you’ll support our team in developing and executing paid search strategies across various industries, including retail, finance, industrial, and B2B. Working closely with our cross-channel marketing team and digital marketing analysts, you’ll gain hands-on experience in keyword research, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic recommendations for campaign success.


Public Relations Intern

In this position, you will work closely with the public relations team to assist with projects, including creating media lists, researching editorial opportunities, developing press materials and writing media pitches. You will also contribute to team brainstorming sessions, new business planning and monthly coverage reporting.


Social Media Intern

In this department, you will be working with a social media team member to research the latest trends, as well as attend team meetings/brainstorm sessions and assist with creating content calendars for clients.
