The Brandon Agency Sweeps 2012 Addy Awards

The Brandon Agency had another successful showing at the annual Addy Awards ceremony, presented by the Coastal Carolina branch of the American Advertising Federation, on Friday, February 10, winning 83 percent of awards presented including the Best of Show award.
The Brandon Agency, which has won more awards than any other local agency for the last 14 years, received 14 Gold Addy Awards, 34 Silver Addy Awards and a Best of Show in Print award for the Cenegenics Carolinas campaign. The Brandon Agency was awarded Addys for work created on behalf of such clients as Myrtle Beach Haven, Smoke Free Horry, Wilmington CVB, HTC, McCall Farms, Farmers Telephone Cooperative (FTC), Marion County Healthcare Foundation, Driwood, New South Digital Marketing Conference, SkyWheel and Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday.

The annual ADDY Awards, hosted by the Coastal Carolina branch of the American Advertising Federation, recognizes exceptional advertising created in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Wilmington, N.C. and Florence, S.C. in the concentrations of print, broadcast, out-of-home, Internet and public service advertising. A panel of advertising executives selected the winners from the several hundred entries that were submitted. Brandon’s winning entries will now go to the district level competition.

Christopher Scali is president of S2 Advertising, Inc. and has more than 30 years experience in commercial arts and advertising design. Scali is considered an industry leader in the production of innovative advertising creative and his work has been heralded by his peers through the 100’s of awards presented to him by the American Advertising Federation (ADDY’s) since opening his agency in 1990. His vision for creating distinctive advertising and marketing collaterals, print advertisements and broadcast production is widely recognized local, State, and National award level. In addition, Scali is a Past-Governor of the 4th District American Advertising Federation, representing some 23 local clubs and more than 2,000 advertising professionals across the state of Florida and the Caribbean. A consummate professional with demonstrated achievements in the area of public service, Scali was awarded the Silver Medal in 1997.
Mel Campbell, Jr. is president of Campbell, Harrington & Brear Advertising Agency and has more than 36 years of marketing and advertising experience. Mr. Campbell has previously judged the Coastal Carolina Addy Awards and several international Newspaper Promotion Association (INPA) advertising competitions. His company has received numerous regional, national and international awards for advertising excellence in all phases of advertising and marketing.
Jody Lange has been an award-winning writer, creative director, and marketing strategist for more than 35 years, sixteen of those at Burson-Marsteller. She is Creative Director for Proof, the firm’s multimedia agency. In 2006 she earned her Masters in Communications Planning and Information Design from Carnegie Mellon University. Jody’s expertise in human-centered interaction and service design, information architecture, and the interplay between graphic design and language make her an invaluable resource throughout the Burson-Marsteller global network.
