July 3, 2012, Myrtle Beach, S.C. –Representatives of The Brandon Agency announced the completion of a successful campaign for client Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday that combined promotion and creative efforts with ESPN Radio. The campaign culminated with Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg of ESPN’s “Mike And Mike In The Morning” broadcasting live from the Hootie and the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am for the second straight year.

The 10-week campaign centered around spring golf vacations and two sweepstakes.  The first six weeks included a year-long sweepstakes with a grand prize that includes up to twelve expense-paid golf vacations for the winner and a guest, along with a round of golf with Myrtle Beach golf spokesperson Dustin Johnson. The next four weeks offered a grand prize that awarded one lucky winner and a guest VIP access to the Monday After the Masters, including airfare, accommodations, golf and the opportunity to attend the tournament and its surrounding events along with the chance to rub elbows with numerous celebrities in attendance. Both promotional campaigns comprised a significant number of live and recorded radio commercials during “Mike and Mike” and other ESPN Radio programs over a four-week window leading up to the event.  The 60-second spots included a 10-second “doughnut” allowing a prominent mention for a number of Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday’s constituent members and reached millions of ESPN Radio listeners and television viewers. There was also considerable presence for this promotion on ESPNRadio.com with a variety of banner sizes and creative messages.

The positive results of this campaign were palpable.  The Brandon Agency measured a 227 percent increase in banner ad traffic to Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday online assets, a 137 percent increase in visits to dedicated URLS www.WeGolfMyrtle.comand www.MikeandMiketoMytle.com. A significant number of new leads were generated through the cross-promotional efforts on ESPN assets.

“We really pulled out all the stops on the promotion front for Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday assets this winter and spring and it paid off greatly,” said Scott Brandon, CEO of The Brandon Agency.  “Mike and Mike really gave a great endorsement of Myrtle Beach as both an event and a vacation destination throughout this campaign, and we are pleased and proud to have them as spokesmen for America’s number one golf destination.”
